After having to read this article,I felt that the government and the police force should really tighten the security measures in all parts of Singapore, not just in the areas of Downtown East. This will help prevent and intimidate gang members and those who wants to find trouble. After the incident at Downtown East, slashing and hacking cases have become more and more common among the public which has already threaten our sense of security when going out. Schools should educate and encourage students not to join any gangs as students are more likely to get into a gang due to certain reasons(Eg.Thinking that joining gangs are acts of being cool). Also teenagers should not get into quarrels over minor misunderstanding. It's not worth it of getting serious injuries because of some small matters. Hence, strengthening Singapore's security and avoiding quarrels, especially with people who are involved in gangs, can prevent getting hurt.
